Free Concert

Join us on Saturday, May 11th for an evening of local original music featuring Seamus Conley and Vanessa Hale.

Vanessa Hale is a board-certified music therapist, singer, songwriter, recording artist, and voice teacher from New Hampshire. A dynamic and powerful vocalist, Vanessa’s wide catalogue of music ranges from well-known classics to personally meaningful songs they love or have written. Their musical storytelling weaves through the darkness and the light, the heart-wrenching and the empowering, as they heartfully share moments in time, stories, and feelings they’ve encountered through life. Vanessa sees music as a vessel for expression and connection, and their personal and professional experience navigating mental health and community care informs their music creation and performances.

Seamus Conley is a multi-instrumentalist and composer born and raised in New England, and currently based out of Philadelphia. He has made music as a part of countless projects through the years, but his most recent musical offerings can be heard under the name Whispercloud. Having played and performed music across the country, as well as across continents, his philosophy is to approach music as a tool for expression, awareness, and ultimately catharsis. His performances explore the human experience utilizing sound as a medium, and seek to invite the listener on a journey of self-discovery, ending with a destination of their choosing.

Music events are held in the intimate, smoke-free environment of the Art Gallery. Fantastic acoustics draw musicians and listeners from throughout New England. All programs are free and open to the public, and funded by the Friends of the Library unless otherwise noted.

Light refreshments are available; coffee provided by Starbucks Coffee, Nashua, NH. Donations for PACH, our local food pantry, are welcome at all of our music events.

Open Mic Nights

Open Mic Night is on the 3rd Friday of the month (September through  May), hosted by guest emcees. If you are interested in being an emcee, please contact Deb at email hidden; JavaScript is required. Join us on Friday, March 15th!

Classical Collective of Pepperell -

Welcome to the inaugural season of the Classical Collective of Pepperell.

Classical Collective of Pepperell and the Lawrence Library is thrilled to welcome mezzo-soprano Fanny Lora and guitarist Dave McLellan as they transport you to the heart of Spanish culture with works by Joaquín Rodrigo, Federico García Lorca, and Manuel de Falla. Españolería revitalizes our community by showcasing Spain's diverse classical music repertoire and deep folk traditions. It's not just a concert; it's a cultural experience, educating about centuries of artistic evolution.

Españolería is supported in part by a grant from the Pepperell local cultural council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, and by the Friends of the Lawrence Library.
